TEDDY BEAR TOSS SCHEDULED FOR NOVEMBER 22

The Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) of the UW-Superior Athletic department is sponsoring the 2008 Teddy Bear Toss, scheduled to take place November 22 at Wessman Arena when the Yellowjackets host St. Norbert. Fans are asked to bring a new teddy bear to the game.  When the 'Jackets score their first goal of the game, fans then throw the bears over the glass and onto the ice, where members of SAAC will collect them.  All bears collected will be donated to area families in need of gifts for children during the holiday season. Prizes will be awarded for the biggest bear that is tossed on the ice that night, as well as to the UW-Superior student organization, group, or team that brings in the most bears.  All fans who bring a bear to toss will receive a free bag of popcorn from the Wessman Arena concession the night of the promotion. Help the SAAC give back to the community this holiday season and bring a new teddy bear to the game on November 22.
