NCHA Names Wilson Player Of The Week

Chris Wilson (Sr. Prince Albert, Saskatchewan) had a pair of three-point games last weekend and was named NCHA Player of the Week.

"Chris had a great week for us and it is that time of the year where we need our best players to be our best players.  Chris is playing like that right now," said Yellowjacket Head Coach Dan Stauber.  "Hopefully he continues to get better every game."

Wilson scored a shorthanded goal, the eventual game-winning goal in Friday's 5-1 win over Bethel.  He also had a pair of assists.  On Saturday he duplicated the feat, scoring a third-period goal and setting up two others in a 4-4 come from behind tie against Hamline.  For the year, Wilson has eight goals and 20 points, both tops on the Yellowjackets.

"He's one of the most dynamic forwards I have seen at this level, and when he's playing like he is he makes everyone else better," Stauber said.  "He continues to put up points and that's obviously a great thing for our team as we head into an extremely difficult part of our schedule."
